Lung Fei Cantonese Opera Fund Raising Event

For a very long time, the Chinese Federation of Commerce of Canada (CFCC) has been working to introduce the Chinese culture to the Canadian. With that being the objective, the CFCC organizes the Lung Fei Cantonese Opera Fundraising Event at Michael J Fox Theatre from July 27th to 29th. For the event, the CFCC invites Hong Kong’s leading artists Mr. Lee Lung, Miss Tang Mei Ling, Miss Lam Bo Chu, Mr. Man Bo Sum and Mr. Lam Kwan Ling to give an excellent performance. They will be joined along with the local artists Miss Ho Wai Ling, Mr. Leung Wai Sing, Mr. Chow Chak Tin, Mr. Lung Ka Sing, Miss Chu Sau Ngor, Mrs. Ma Choi Lai Gun, Miss Lau Lai Shum and Mr. Yeung Hoi Shing.

Mr. Lee Lung is widely perceived as one of the leading Cantonese Opera artists in Hong Kong. At the age of nine, Mr. Lee began to learn Cantonese Opera acting from the top artist, Mr. Chan Fei Lung. Since then he had worked in a number of famous Cantonese Opera groups to attain countless performance experiences. He is also well known for his contribution in the Hong Kong film industry. Since 1997, He has founded a number of Cantonese Opera Groups, and co-performed with some popular artists. Mr. Lee is now the Vice President of the Artists Association of Hong Kong, and he is actively publicizing the art of Cantonese Opera to the world.

The Lung Fei Cantonese Opera Fundraising event is organized by the Chinese Federation of Commerce of Canada, and is specially sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Zhihua Chen. Meanwhile the event is aimed to raise money for a number of organizations including Richmond Community Policing Fund, BC Crime Prevention Association, 2381 BCR (Irish Fusiliers) RCACC, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and the CFCC Scholarship in Business Administration at Simon Fraser University. Thus this splendid show is very meaningful and cannot be missed out. The prices of tickets are $38, $48, $58, $68 and $78 accordingly, and the ticket offices are located at Chinese Federation of Commerce of Canada (CFCC) office, Celtek Communications Parker Place Store, Celtek Communications Chinatown Store and Celtek Communications Crystal Square Store.

The Cantonese Opera group will also have another performance at the Winspear Centre in Edmonton on July 22nd.

龍飛匯演助雲城

加拿大華商會秉承一貫宗旨，致力向加拿大本土人仕推廣中國文化﹐本會榮幸宣佈邀請香港著名文武生李龍先生率領一眾粵劇名伶鄧美玲﹑林寶珠﹑文寶森﹑林群翎暨本地名伶何偉凌﹑梁偉聲﹑周澤田﹑龍家星﹑朱秀娥﹑馬蔡麗根﹑劉涖沁及楊海城將於七月二十七日至二十九日晚上七時三十分於Michael J Fox Theatre演出多齣經典粵劇折子戲。定能令本地觀衆看得拍案叫絕﹐大飽眼福。

李龍是香港著名文武生﹐原藉台山﹐九歲拜粵劇名伶陳非儂(陳寶珠之父親)為師﹐成長期間曾追隨多個知名劇團實習演出汲取經驗。除登台演出外﹐曾參與電影拍攝工作。享有粵劇神童之美譽。於七十年代未期﹐更與謝雪心合組「祝華年劇團」﹐正式躍升為文武生。八十年代更將粵劇藝術帶至星馬一帶﹐深得彼邦戲迷欣賞。九五年為港台主持《戲曲天地》節目。一九九七年更先後成立「龍嘉鳳劇團」﹑「龍騰燕劇團」﹑「龍飛劇團」﹑「永光明劇團」及「龍嘉詠劇團」﹐與著名花旦陳好逑﹑南鳳﹑尹飛燕﹑謝雪心及陳詠儀等合作。除了參演粵劇外﹐李龍更於二00三年首次演出舞台劇﹐與蘇玉華﹑胡杏兒等一同擔演由杜國威編寫之「寒江釣雪」﹐獲得一致好評。於二00四年更與梅雪詩合組「鳳和鳴劇團」選演不少唐滌生名劇﹐其藝術生涯可謂更上一層樓。由於李氏根基紮實﹐其「長靠」﹑「短打」堪稱梨園之冠。再加上扮相俊朗﹐唱腔簡潔流暢﹐所以被公認為首屈一指的文武生﹐實為梨園界不可多得的表表者。近年李氏更成為香港八和會館之副主席﹐積極參與推廣粵劇藝術。

是次演出由加拿大華商會主辦﹐陳志華伉儷特約贊助﹐主題為『龍飛匯演助雲城』目的除了宣揚中國文化及為溫哥華的劇迷提供精彩節目外﹐更為多個機構籌款﹐包括The Richmond Community Policing Fund, B.C. Crime Prevention Association, 2381 BCR (Irish Fusiliers) RCACC(全名為2381 British Columbia Region (Irish Fusiliers) Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corp) , 中僑互助會及加拿大華商會之西門菲沙大學獎學金。
