Royal Canadian Army Cadets
Established in 1879, the Royal Canadian Army Cadets is one of the oldest national youth organizations in Canada supported by the Army Cadet League of Canada, a civilian non-profit organization, and the Canadian Forces who partner to provide uniforms, equipment, training, financial support and accommodations to Army Cadets.
Together with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets and Air Cadets, Cadets is the largest youth program supported by the Federal Government. In British Columbia, there are about 7,000 youth have joined the Cadets and nationally there are over 60,000 Cadets members.
Royal Canadian Army Cadet Objective
Cadets participates in a number of activities, including ceremonial drills, marksmanship, map and compass reading, first aid, sports and citizenship events. The aim of the Cadets Program is to instill in youth the attributes of leadership, citizenship, physical fitness and an interest in the activities of the Canadian Force.
The program is offered to Canadian men and women aged 12 to 18 years. Hundreds of thousands of Canadian have gone through the program and credit their cadet experience for their success in later life.
Chinese Federation of Commerce of Canada encourage everyone to actively support the cadet movement as it evolves and adapts to meet the needs of our youth and prepares them to become the leaders of tomorrow.
